Terms of Service
Last updated 28 August 2026
FinXM is a personal financial management service: a multi-currency ledger with budgeting, net worth tracking, loan tracking, shared-expense splitting and AI bill scanning. These terms cover your use of it. Using the service means you accept them.
Your account
- You must give a working email address and confirm it before your ledger opens.
- You are responsible for your password and for everything done with your account. Tell us at once if you believe someone else has it.
- One person, one account. A Household plan may share one ledger with up to five people.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan keeps the whole ledger. Plus and Household add paid features; the current prices are on the plans section of the home page.
- New accounts get 30 days of Plus without a card. When the trial ends the account falls back to Free — nothing is charged and nothing you recorded is deleted.
- Paid subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.
- Cancel any time from Settings; the plan stays active to the end of the period already paid for. See the refund policy.
- We will give at least 30 days notice by email before any price rise affects you.
What we ask of you
- Do not use the service unlawfully, or to store data you have no right to hold.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, or to reach another user’s ledger.
- Do not resell access to your account.
Your data is yours
You keep every right to what you record. You can export it at any time — CSV on every plan, password-protected spreadsheets and encrypted backup files on paid plans — and deleting your account deletes your ledger. What we do with data while you are here is set out in the privacy policy.
The honest limits
- FinXM is a record-keeping tool. It is not financial, tax or investment advice, and the figures it shows depend on what you enter and on exchange rates from a third-party feed.
- AI bill scanning is an assistant, not an auditor: check what it extracts before you save it.
- The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
- Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Backups inside the app protect against mistakes, not against every possible failure.
Ending the arrangement
You may stop and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to harm others, or where payment fails and is not fixed — and we will tell you why, at the address on the account, and give you a chance to export your data first unless the law prevents it.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top always says when this version was published.
